From: ezwilder1@aol.comnospam (EZWilder1) Subject: ASSC-AFTSD:The beginning of an avocation As a LTL-FTPer I thought this may be a good way to introduce myself. Back in '81, I was 23, fresh from a private Methodist Univ. and a rather harsh breakup with my college sweetie. Had a fairly decent job and a little ching in the pocket. Started going out with a buddy to a place called Kelly's( I think, the mist of time being what it is) in Akron. Dinky place, maybe 8-9 tables, pool table, formica bar. Tuesday's the owner brought in a couple of strippers. Each would do a couple of sets on a 4X4 stage and then work the floor til the guys ran out of cash. For a guy with no prior experience this was way cool. 3 or 4 months of this, having a good time, no personal connections when "it" happened. Dancer, named Candy, sat down with me, between sets. 5' 8" of blonde big breasted "not my type"( I tend to run to petite brunettes). However, we had a few interests in common, 7&7's and hardcore metal come to mind. She told me about a club she went to in Akron and a couple of weeks later we hooked up to see a group called Hammer Damage. We managed to get hammered and woke the next morning to reintroduce ourselves. I started to learn how to deal with stage name/real name and other schizoid behavior common to dancers. She went to Akron U. and danced full-time at a place called "The Back Bar". The 1st time I went in to this joint, sat down, and had a topless female dancin' on the bar over me, I knew I had found a new home. That was the entire stage, the bar. As I was already seeing Candy, I got rather a crash course in SCtiquette which would come in handy later on. Thank God, Candy didn't have a jealous bone in her lovely body because, then as now, I've always been an outrageous flirt and I think she realized I was a kid in a candy store. We had some wild times but 8 mths. later I was transfered to Columbus. We kinda knew the long distance thing wasn't going to work so we amicably went our own way. Not to say we didn't see each other every now and then, went to each others wedding and talked each other through divorce. Still friends, cards at holidays, talk 2-3 times a year definitely not your average dancer relationship. However, I'm still SCing, still partial to dive-type SC's. Of course that was the majority of clubs in Ohio at that time. Not really comfortable in these high-class joints, but since thats where the really gorgeous creatures work that's where you'll find me. ________________________________________________________________________ "You gotta play hurt"- Dan Jenkins remove nospam to E-mail
