Las Vegas a safer place...

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, under the direction of
Las Vegas councilman Michael McDonald, has made Las Vegas a safer
place for all.

Thanks to help from Metro, McDonald and the rest of the city council
have slapped a $50,000 fine on Little Darlings, for
allowing customers to bring alcohol into the club.

Apparently, one undercover cop placed a six-pack of beer in front of
a cashier, and was offered a paper bag, rather than having it
confiscated. Another cop, putting our hard earned tax dollars to
good use, was offered the use of a refrigerator for his beer.

Little Darlings' attorney, Allen Lichtenstein, questioned why topless
clubs are allowed to serve alcohol, but totally nude clubs cannot.
Um, good question, Allen.

Allen is considering the law itself, as well as the enforcement
procedure.

Apparently, this entire action was spawned by one moronic parent who
complained that her son (apparently under the legal drinking age of
21, but over 18) spent the night drinking there. Never mind the fact
that Little Darlings is not even ACCUSED of serving alcohol, so
obviously the guy brought his own alcohol in with him. But I guess
if Little Darlings wouldn't have let him, he wouldn't have touched
the stuff.

Yet another fine example of why Las Vegas area residents should "just
say NO" to each and every ballot question asking for more money for
more police officers. It's extremely clear that they have more than
they need, when they continually use their resources to go after
victimless crimes.
